Al is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1993. Following graduation he enjoyed careers at Oxford Frozen Foods and Avco Financial Services, then entered the Insurance Industry where he has enjoyed the past twenty years. Prior to joining Gateway Insurance Group, Al was manager of Asbell Insurance Agency in Oxford, Nova Scotia.

Al serves as Regional Manager, Gateway Insurance Group – Northern Nova Scotia, with offices located in Oxford, Nova Scotia. He brings extensive and qualified experience to all businesses and homeowners in the categories of Business & Commercial Insurance, Home & Auto Insurance, Travel & Health Insurance, as well as Employee Benefits and Life products.

Al and his wife Barb are long-term and continuing residents of Oxford, Nova Scotia. He and Barb are very engaged in the community, including support of local sports, the IWK and Cancer Society, as well as the local animal shelter.
